Description:
BOCO Electronics’ 130kW Power Conversion System (PCS) module is designed specifically for commercial & industrial (C&I) energy storage applications with system voltage up to 1000V DC. It leverages 3rd-generation wide-bandgap semiconductor SiC power devices as its core switching components. It serves as the critical energy hub for battery energy storage systems (BESS), photovoltaic (PV) systems, and grid-tie applications, enabling efficient conversion between DC and AC power while providing advanced grid support functionalities.
The energy storage PCS supports two operating modes: On-Grid mode and off-grid mode.
● On-Grid Mode
In On-Grid mode, the AC side of the energy storage converter is connected to the power grid, and the DC side is connected to the energy storage battery or DC micro-grid.
○ Discharging Mode: The energy storage battery discharges power to the grid through the converter. Cooperating with the grid dispatching system, it realizes peak shaving and valley filling of grid loads, and participates in grid voltage and frequency regulation.
○ Charging Mode: The grid charges the energy storage battery through the converter, supporting constant power, constant current, and constant voltage control.
○ AFE Mode: When connected to the grid without an energy storage battery load, the energy storage converter can actively establish the output voltage. (Note: AFE = Active Front End, active front-end technology)
● Off-Grid Mode
In off-grid mode, the DC side of the energy storage converter is connected to the storage battery, and the AC side outputs three-phase AC voltage with fixed frequency and effective value through the converter, realizing power supply to the AC side load.
